Hello!

I have a problem. when i use the same player for more videos on one page than only one is working, for the rest of videos i see the line “You need to upgrade your Flash Player”. Maybe i have something wrong with my codecs. Does it work for you if you have more than one video on the same page?

Hi serzomanik,

The preview of this file has 2 videos on the same page, and it should work with any number of videos. Make sure you have uploaded the swfobject.js to your server, and double check the embed code too.

If you are still having issues, email me via my profile and I’ll have a look.

Thanks.

OK i am back. This player can support:

FLV , F4V, MP3 , H264/AAC (MOV, MP4 , M4A, M4V , 3GP, 3G2), JPG , PNG, GIF , SWF

And i convert my avi files on my server with ffmpeg commands like this:

ffmpeg -i InputFile.avi -ab 128 -b 1200 OutputFile.mp4

then on the player i use http://www.mydomain.com/videos/OutputFile.mp4

Hi,

Just bought this player. We noticed that when you refresh the page in Internet Explorer 8 you lose the player controls. Works OK in Firefox. Is there a work around for this ?

Thanks.

Note: due to a swfObject bug the player would malfunction when refreshing the page in IE. I have fixed that now and uploaded the updated file, waiting to be approved. I will announce when the updated files are available for download.

If you have or want to buy this player now and want the update straight away, email me via my profile and I will send it over.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes you will get all future updates for free, when there is an update, you just need to re-download the files, and you get the latest updated files.

For the video, you can buy it here: http://videohive.net/item/spectrum-after-effects-cs3-project/24426

Ran into a problem, but fixed it. I had placed the flash, the JS, the SWF and everything else in a sub directory. Referencing the video as”flash/filename.flv” did not work, but “filename.flv” as well as absolute link (http://domain.com/flash/filename.flv) works perfectly. The image and swf are referenced as”flash/file.extension” and that worked as well.

I’m working with a client that needs to change some parameters and place the flv on a different server. This player works great. Tested in a bunch of browsers across PC and Mac and they all played flawlessly. Thanks!

What should I list in the flashvars if I don’t want to use a preview image? I tried removing the parameter (didn’t work) and now use ””. However that pops open my debugger to let me know that it failed to load the preview image. I’m thinking of linking to a blank image for the time being.

Hi,

Yes currently you would need to use a transparent image as leaving the parameter empty will cause an error.

Thanks.

My requirement is that i want to fetch the video name from database and then play in that player but now I am just using index.html file of this player by changing the video name to video.swf in place of video1.flv .Video.swf is also in that same folder where video1.flv is loacted.

Please guide me on that how i can play other file formats in this player .

For your information i want to make you know that the file set up i have ,the xml file is missing in that .Is XML required for this player .

Kindly contact as soon as possible on my email id “ravneetrahi12@gmail.com”

Hi Ravneet,

SWF files are not video files, they are flash files, compiled from FLA files. You cannot play a SWF file in a video player. This video player will play FLV files, as well as all H.264 Encoded video formats such as: MP4 , MOV etc

Also, this video player imports all parameters using Flashvars, that is from the html document rather than a xml file, as stated in the file’s description.

Thanks.

Hi,

It doesn’t say the file will play all video formats, it says it will play all h.264 encoded video formats. I am not 100% sure of all the formats that includes, but it will play MOV , MP4 , M4A , MP4V , 3GP, 3G2 for sure, as well as FLV . But it cannot play AVI or MPEG , this is not a problem with this file, flash player simply does not support those file types, you need to convert them to one of the supported file types.

Thanks.

Hi LGlab – excellent Video Player – thank you!

I have one question… after the movie is done playing, I’d need to add another button in the top right corner to go to another page (another option to replaying) – could you possibly guide me on how to do that? I added the button right in flash – however, if I play full screen it stays in the same spot and I need it to move with the movie – is that possible?

Thank you!

Great file and very easy to use! Great documentation too.

I do have one question… I want to play a video on my webs home page but would rather keep all of the associated files in their own directory. I have copied the code to the index page of my web and have moved the swfobject to the same directory. I then redirected the code as follows… // <![CDATA[var soFlash = new SWFObjec(”/videos/previewvideos/FLVPlayer.swf”, “theVars”, “580”, “325”, “9”, ”#000000”); soFlash.addParam(“allowFullScreen”, “false”); soFlash.addVariable(“video”, ”/videos/previewvideos/WebIntro1010LQ.flv”); soFlash.addVariable(“buffertime”, “2”); soFlash.addVariable(“previewImage”, ”/videos/previewvideos/introimage.jpg”); soFlash.addVariable(“autoPlay”, “true”); soFlash.addVariable(“autoHide”, “true”); soFlash.addVariable(“autoHideDelay”, “3”); soFlash.addVariable(“videoVolume”, ”.5”); soFlash.addVariable(“controlsBackgroundColor”, “000000”); soFlash.addVariable(“controlsIconsColor”, “666666”); soFlash.addVariable(“controlsLoadBarColor”, “666666”); soFlash.addVariable(“controlsProgressBarColor”, “0000ff”); soFlash.write(“swf”); // ]]> However, when I open the home page the video does not play. Can you offer any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

I bought this player,

.flv files work correctly, but .mp4 videos doest not start playing until the whole video is loaded

See http://www.theplanetcity.com/video-player/index2.html

How could I make .mp4 plays correctly?

Thank you

Hi,

This is probably an encoding issue with the video having the metadata at the end causing the player to wait for it to be loaded, so either change the video metadata location or convert to another format.

Thanks.

Hi,

I installed the player but I have a little issue : I host the files on a different server – the video files works just fine but the preview frames do not load ( I get a blank screen instead )

Could you give me an idea ?

var soFlash = new SWFObject(\”http://www.domainname.com/embed2/FLVPlayer.swf\”, \”theVars\”, \”700\”, \”400\”, \”9\”, \”#FFFFFF\”); soFlash.addParam(\”allowFullScreen\”, \”true\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”video\”, \”http://server1.domainname.com/2_video/$video\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”buffertime\”, \”5\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”previewImage\”, \”http://server1.domainname.com/2_frames/$frame.jpg\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”autoPlay\”, \”false\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”autoHide\”, \”true\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”autoHideDelay\”, \”2\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”videoVolume\”, \”1\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”controlsBackgroundColor\”, \”000000\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”controlsIconsColor\”, \”F26335\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”controlsLoadBarColor\”, \”333333\”); soFlash.addVariable(\”controlsProgressBarColor\”, \”CCCCCC\”); soFlash.write(\”swf\”);

Thanks :)
