Greetings flashjunkie. I must say that I’m totally impressed with your player. I wanted to buy it but I could not find enough specs posted on this page. Is this AS 3 .0 because I only know 3.0 and also will I have to manually change the XML or do you have a back end Control Management System for the video uploads and scheduling?Thank you.
@mhfrancois52 – its just a fullscreen XML driven video player, you need to edit the xml for videos.
Its AS2

Hello- Does anyone know how to adjust this file so that video is constantly playing. For example, when video 1 is finished, video 2 starts automatically and then video 3 and so on.

Really, no one has any words of advice for me? In the demo here, the videos play continuously. I can’t get the file to do this for me.
Ok, solved. Was a problem in my XML code.
Does anyone know how to alter the file to get the first video that plays to be picked at random? I don’t want the first video file listed in the XML file to play first all the time. On refresh, I’d like a random video from the XML to be played. Any ideas?
Hi, Does anyone knows why this player does not work on chrome and firefox? I get all the buttons except the video. I get a black screen. It is like xml does not work. It works ok only with explorer. Do i need to install any plugin??
Thanks
Can i have que points in this video player??
A question to greenbergdev: I have the same problem, a single file stops playing. What was the problem in your xml-file?

Hello nice template indeed but how can i change the play/pause for a lecture/pause for a french newbee in flash

I have contacted the author (Jason Loftus, AKA : FlashJunkie) via three venues (Email, Freelance Switch, and ActiveDen) with this question, yet have had no response.
As greenbergdev, olle, and 3ds have asked previously in this thread, I too would love to know how to enable the playlist to auto-advance and play. I was expecting that 02.flv would begin playing after 01.flv is finished playing. This is the functionality demonstrated in the ActiveDen demo, yet this is not the functionality when I attempt to implement this player according to the examples and instructions provided.
The comment from greenbergdev had me wondering if my XML was malformed in some way, but after comparing it to the one hosted for the demo on this site (videos.xml), I see no difference in comparison to mine. This does not mean I’m not missing something obvious, but I have yet to be pointed in the right direction.
I hope to receive a response from the author, but do not expect any help given his previous lack of interest in offering assistance. If anyone else has encountered this issue and has a solution, please post it here. This is apparently a common problem with this player (as I am the 4th user to report this in this fairly short list of users providing comments here), and deserves some attention.

I’ve partially identified the problem, and found a work-around to the auto-advance issue. The problem had to do with my specific FLV files. I do not know why they wouldn’t auto-advance, as they were encoded using Adobe Media Encoder.
As a solution (though far from pretty), I uploaded my original video files to YouTube, then used the keepvid.com service to scrape out the FLVs. When using these FLVs, the expected auto-advance behavior occurs.
The problem has been solved for me using this workaround. Hopefully this will save someone the headache I incurred trying to understand the cause. The auto-advance functionality will work with some FLVs, but not others. The YouTube/keepvid scrape workaround isn’t ideal, but it does the trick.
Please share if anyone finds the exact cause of the incompatible FLVs.
do i have a broke older version? when you add more videos to the xml file – they appear at the end of the xml list in a weird way?
After video 5 – then the list starts over – then you get video 6 – this happens to all new videos added to the xml?
So videos currently go in this sequence : < 1,2,3,4,5, > then < 2,3,4,5,6 > then < 3,4,5,6,7 > and so on.. whats the deal?
Any new video should be next in the numbering scroll – can you help or give advise?
