Thanks, aliogul! Yes, at the moment FlashDen is having some issues encrypting AS3 -based previews. Unfortunately, it’s affected our preview. We’ve contacted support at FlashDen to have it corrected, and we apologize for the inconvenience. The product itself, however, is unaffected and working great, and allows you to change the color options you see in the preview.

Good news! FlashDen has found the mistake made with the encryption and the preview is now working as it should. Enjoy!

can this counter be used for other purpose like hit counter not clock? I just need the animation mechanic.

Hi vertude,

By default it is not set up for that. The look and feel of the blocks could be repurposed for a hit counter, but you’d also need to also incorporate something from the serverside (such as PHP ) to tell it how many hits to display.

the counter is wrong! Try selecting todays date one year from now! Time this + one hour.

The Year Day conversion is wrong. If you are one year + one day out it is not 1 year 365 days.

Hi remydk,

Actually, the counter is correct. You’re not accounting for the ‘offset’ value, which specifies the time zone to use. In your examples, the offset is set to 0, so the times the countdown clock is showing are for Greenwich Mean Time. To see the countdown for your time zone, you would put in the difference (in hours) between your time zone and GMT . You can find that offset by going to this site: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

Alternatively, there’s an additional setting in the product that’s not in the preview which allows you to have it always show the user’s local time rather than a specific time zone.

This is all detailed in the documentation provided with the purchase, as well as mentioned in the product description above. Sorry for the misunderstanding, and I hope it’s clear to you now. :)

Have you seen my link. If you add one day your counter adds one year! Has nothing to do with GMT . But ok if you don’t understand or care.

remydk,

Ah, I see now, sorry for that. Yes, that is an odd edge-case, happening only one year and one day out. Any other day is fine. Also, when I test it out locally with the setting for local time turned on, it displays the correct time. I’ll be sure to correct it and upload an update. Thanks for pointing it out! :)

Update – And it’s fixed! The update is in the queue and should be live within a few days. Thankfully the issue was limited to that specific instance of one year and less than 24 hours. Again, thanks for pointing it out!

Very nice and beautifully customizable. Thank you.

Will you have a version that takes its parameters from an xml file instead of having to recompile the flv each time? That would be more convenient.

Thank you again.

Hello,

Love your count down clock but need to delete the extra space that is below the counter. I have it posted here:

http://www.myrecreationdistrict.com/redesign/facilities/la-quinta-recreation.htm

But, there is over 110 pixels of extra white space below the counter.

I’ve tried resizing the counter, but there is always way too much extra space below the numerals.

Thank you.
