I don’t understand very much about loaders, but is there a way I can use that loader to actually load all the files on my website before the website opens? Even if my website is not entirely made in flash?

Actually it’s a good question..

You can load diferent elements into your flash movie. For example XML , RSS, SWF ’s, CSS , pictures, sounds, video’s and variables etc. The elements you wan’t to use a preloader for, has to be loaded into a flash movie – because, to use the preloading functionality you have to call the methods from the actionscript loader classes.

For example; if you wan’t to make a preloader for all the text on your website. You could implementet the text in your flash movie and then the text could be preloaded. Or you could make a XML document containing the text, and then load the XML into your flash movie. By the way; XML is a good way to go – it’s more flexible and it’s really timesaving to update when you get it going.

But you can’t load a html site into a flash movie. So it’s not really posible to make preloader for a html based website, as you can with a flash website.

But you can use the preloader for the flash elements in your html website.

Hope this made some kind of sense..

How do you change the white glow? I’ve tried everything.

Click the circle and then you can change the glolw color in the property inspector..
