Google Weather Widget

I am using the widget, however the weather icons are not displaying for Gimli, Mb (Canada) please see the widget: www.visitgimli.com

Hi,

This widget is working fine on the current server. However, I recently changed hosting accounts and I get a 403 Forbidden error on the new server when trying to open the following URL :

www.example.com/load_xml.php?url=http://www.google.com/ig/api?weather=California

Obviously there are some different settings in the new server environment (hostgator.com). Do you know what the issue might be?

Hi, I just download your fla Google Weather, i’ts ok on my server but when I try to had the files in my website (with PHP support) it doesn’t run. I have “loading weather data”. I try the 2 ph file load_xml and load_xml_wihthout_curl and still doesn’t work.

Can you tell me how can i integrate your swf in a php file? And how can i change the language please? Thank’s a lot.

I just downloaded the files, edited the .fla file for the location I need (Ann Arbor, MI), exported the swf, and uploaded the files to my server.

It is working, but there are letters missing from the city name, and the current temperature is completely gone (as shown at the below link). Has anyone else run into this issue?

I put the php files in a wordpress folder and updated the file path in the actions script, should this be sufficient to get the widget to work? I’m not having any luck, it just says loading weather.

I think Google may have changed the data format. Can this be fix?

I had the same issue. I just removed path.

var iconPath:String = "http://img0.gmodules.com";

to this:

var iconPath:String = "";

worked for me

Thanks for the tip. I am a novice in flash. Could u tell me how to get into the script? I would normally press F9 in the past n it show the script but this time doesnt work.

I am using flash 4.

Sorry, got the action script but could not find the line u mentioning above.

All i done was to open the flash file n see the action script. Let me know iwhere can i get to this line

Current: mostly cloudy

I want to remove the word, “Current” so it will only display mostly cloudy.

I was looking at the action script but could not find it.

How can I change language?

I have change the city string to “hong%20kong” and tried “hong%20kong,%20hong%20kong”

But I cannot get the data to load.

Both work, but not within the SWF

Hi! I’ve been using this weather widet for the past two weeks and it’s been GREAT !! But today, all of a sudden, it’s not working.

I tested my source file FLA , even the original downloaded from Active Den and it doesn’t work. I’m getting the following errors in the output panel:

Error opening URL ‘http://img0.gmodules.comundefined'

Did Google decide to change something in their weather api? If so, how do I find the correct path?

Please help!
