Thanks for taking a look at my grab scroller. You should try it out with a tablet pen if you have one. The entire files is dynamic and is built from a .as file using only a few lines of code in the Fla. The mouse graphic is dynamic as well. A neat ActionScript circle is drawn when you mouse over the text field to show that there is a new type of interaction required. This mouse will also indicate when you’ve pressed the textfield and when you’ve moused over a link.
The .as file is not commented too much, but the entire thing is dynamic, and you shouldn’t have to touch it at all. Email me with questions. I wrote this code a long time ago, but i’ll try to answer some of your questions. I just figured the FD community would like to have this one.
INTERACTION
The entire text field is grabbable and there are a few different ways to interact with it. You can grab it and drag it to the desired position you want…OR…you can click it and fling it in the direction you want it to go. The arrows on the sides are also clickable and you can use them to navigate through the textfield.
