Grab Scroller V.01

Hi Animike Very cool looking utility you have here, great job! Couple questions before I purchase… Can scroll area include text imported via XML ? Can it include graphics? Last, would you be able to provide a couple lines of code if necessary to assist a beginner Flash programmer (like me!) if needed to tweak this for a project? Thank you. Peter

Hey Peter. Currently the text is being pulled through and xml file. It is using stylesheets to populate the text area, but unfortunately that is not really my specialty. I have included some code examples you would need to set up, and repopulate the text area that I have created. While I am sure you would be able to add graphics to the scrolling area, I’m probably not the best person to ask for that help, nor do I know how the text field would behave. Please email me with any other questions you may have.

Great file – however I couldn’t work out how to change it to horizontal.

What I am after is to be able to scroll a movie clip, horizontally, in the exact same fashion as your example. I.E be able to click, grab and throw it left or right.

Movie clip is around 5000px wide and just contains flash buttons etc…

If you make one – I will buy again!

Great Scrolling text file….

I have a simple question, right now all the text REPEATS twice, so where can I change so only shows once…

Even in my XML file shows only one set of copy, but still repeats.

@stanny – i’ll see what is involved in making this horizontal. it is not an easy change.

@ aldomania – i don’t have the files in front of me, but i think it is a simple change. look at the string that you are defining in the function call. i think it is simply doubling the string before it is being passed.

How easy is it to change the font and the font size?

Hi..Instead of XML File..can I just pass a dynamic text to the variable “TEXTVAR” ?
