Quick question – is it possible or how would i pause the music for a second if the player hits hits 12345 and misses the color?
Absolutely. I created a SongPlayer class which handles the music and syncing between the music and the guitar board. There is a Pause() function in this class which will do the trick.
Although may I suggest that you turn down the volume for a little bit when the player makes a mistake. That way the rhythm of the song does not get messed up, which is what the game is all about
Either way, the SongPlayer class is where you should start. The AudioSource object which plays the music is attached to the same GameObject than the SongPlayer component.
Edit: Also, the UpdateNotes() function of the GuitarGameplay class is where you would implement a check if the player hit the key but misses
The documentation that is included completely covers how to add your own music and program the sequencer so that the button timing lines up with you tune.
My only negative with this product is that with my limited C# programming knowledge, the game is difficult to edit. It’s too bad in my case that it is not written in Javascript. Otherwise, a fantastic well made product.
Thank you for your feedback.
If I can help you with anything just drop me a line. Otherwise it can never hurt to learn how to translate from JS to C# and back when working with Unity
Hi Oilver
I noticed you updated this pack in Asset store, I bought it from here, can you update the file here too.
Hi I keep getting errors when I create new song. When I click on the new song in the Inspector I receive message that “NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object SongDataEditor.DrawInspector () (at Assets/Editor/SongDataEditor.cs:278)’ and like 97 other errors. Please help..
please contact me I have wrote you numerous times about your product.. .. could not get your editor to work @ all in unity.. please update my script..
