Horizontal Scroller

Hi,

I have just buy the horizontal scroller. How can I set links on each pic so that they can open another page?

In the file data.xml, I see this code:

What does data=”1” , data=”2” ... means?

ok, its official this file sucks. somehow my thumbnail is scaled down! scrolling speed is between 1-8 and at the lowest 1 is still too fast

my images that load get re-sized to smalled and much blurry then what I originally had loaded

line 8 on HScroller.as has private static var tw:Number = 103; which doesn’t do anything!!

THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR THIS EVEN ON THEIR OWN FORUM !!!!

the scroller is very nice, but I nedd a vertical scroller

Hi How do I open a URL or link with this flash bar.. I need to beable to link to a page in the same frame. in the XML

Love this scroller. Smooth and nice. It took me a while to figure out how to get to an URL but now it works. Justin case someone is looking for the URL stuff: Change this: function clickHandler(dat, lbl) { // handler function receives “data” as string and “label” as string trace(“Data: “+dat); trace(“Label: “+lbl); }

To: function clickHandler(dat, lbl) { // handler function receives “data” as string and “label” as string getURL(dat, “_blank”); } You can remove the , “_blank” if you want the URL opened in the same window.

How can i make the flash movie into transparent mode?

Before I proceed to buy, and this may be too much to ask, I’m wondering whether there is a compatability issue between 2 sources. Essentially, I will need for the thumbnails that I would place in your horizontal scroller to link up to a large image that will be displayed in a “lytebox” or “lyteshow” ( see http://www.dolem.com/lytebox/). Preferably the lyteshow!

The “URL” on the images have specific attributes in order for the pop-ups to work.

Example of an image:

I read your previous posts and noticed that some functions were added to the “XML” file in order for the URL ’s to work properly. I saw that a target “_blanK” attribute was added to the function (I think)! Can we do this with the lyteshow? With the & attributes within the tag?

Do I need to open the file in flash to adjust the height above the thumbnails? I have an older version of flash (6) and it will not open the file I received.

I also need to be able to set the wmode = transparent. I have embedded the movie on a page that uses a drop-down java navigation menu. The Flash movie is hovering above the drop-down menus causing them to dissapear behind the movie. Since the movie is called from a script that pulls the Flash movie I cannot assign the wmode=transparent parameter directly to the movie. Can you tell me how I can make the movie transparent?

Read the documentation that came with the file. Made a few changes. Works perfectly!
