Icon Publisher

Icon Publisher – is a Flash CS 4 / 5 / 5.5 compatibility extension panel for publish your icon in different sizes in one click.

Working only with square icon.

Features:

• export format PNG / JPG / GIF
• custom icon sizes in pixels (ex. “16,32,64,128,512”)
• publish filename format (ex. “icon$$”, where ”$$” will replace by size icon)
• output folder
• all settings saved on publish

Install:

• install Adobe Extension Manager if not yet installed
• dbl click on IconPublisher.mxp
• follow the installation instruction
• restart Flash CS 4 / 5 / 5.5

How it work:

• draw an icon in Flash CS 4 / 5 / 5.5
• open Icon Publisher panel from Window > Othre Panels > Icon Publisher
• set parameters in Icon Publisher
• click “Publish”
• get your icons

If you need extra settings for export format (such as disable Smooth etc.):

• go to File > Publish Settings
• check format you want to setup
• then go to tab of this format
• change parameters you want and click OK

Knowing issue:

• if you install English (en_US) version of Flash CS, but Extension Manager opened with your OS locale (ex. Russian, German, etc), you have two way to install extension (say thank you to Adobe):
  • open Extension Manager with parameter

    -locale lang="en_US"

    and install as usual
  • install extension and then copy installed extension files from your OS locale to Flash CS locale:
    • WIN : C:\Documents and Settings\{ USERNAME }\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS5 .5\{ LANGUAGE }\
    • WIN 7 : C:\Users\{ USERNAME }\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS5 .5\{ LANGUAGE }\
    • MAC : /User/{ USERNAME }/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5 .5/{ LANGUAGE }/
