Hi, Im trying to load this component into another swf using this code.

But I get this error:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at com.oxylusflash.menu::Menu() at flash.display::Sprite/constructChildren() at flash.display::Sprite() at flash.display::MovieClip()

Its like my the scroller still needs the as file or something. Please help.

One question. Is there a way to force it to start centered on a particular thumbnail as opposed to the first one?

Here’s the scenario.

The user makes a selection from the selector which takes them to a new page. I then display the selector again at the bottom of the new page. It would be nice to have the selector come up centered on the thumb for the particular page the user is now browsing.

Does this make sense?

I take that back, I found the background colors in the as files but I can’t get rid of the black. I am extremely frustrated.

cricex, please watch your language, as you noticed by yourself changing those things was very easy, no need to become aggressive. Since these files are stock they have to be good for everyone, that’s because both beginner and advanced developers buy them. There are countless ways of doing every task and inevitably some ways might not be the ones you are used to or would like but after all you’re paying a couple of bucks for quite a lot of hours of work I hope it’s not a big deal to spend a few minutes and adapt.

Maybe this could be done using an infinite scroll technique? Placing a movieclip at the other side after it’s left the stage?

I have loaded the scroller onto my main stage. I am trying to have the thumb call another swf onto the main stage instead of calling a URL . Is this possible?
