Can this file be edited to replaced the bubbles with another image, and on the explosion other objects used instead of bubbles?

Yes! you only have to replace the graphic symbol named Bubble qith your sprite, movie clip, bitmap or anything you want. It’s so simple as copy and paste or import to the library.
