Interactive Map with dynamic landmarks using XML

Hi,

This interactive map looks like exactly what we are looking for.

Given we have never used Flash before, how much effort would it be for us to enable to user to populate their own landmarks, and drag them around, so that I can submit the co-ordinates along with a page form? Thanks!

Hi, just purchase. Only one question:

Just remove the link and target of the location node because I want to use this just for showing text + images ( not link connected ).

The problem is that if I click on the landmark it opens another window with URL …/undefined

If no link is associated it should not open another window, right?

I have a couple of questions for you:

Firstly, would it be possible to link to specific areas of the map.

For example I would like to have a map of a city and within my website have various links to places on that map. If a user clicks on “Coffee Cafe” it will focus to x1,y1 on the map and “Disco Disco” to x,2,y2.

Second would you be interested in further developing this for our needs. We would obviously be willing to pay more than $10

Fantastic work, i was looking for this solution for a long time now. But before i purchase this, can you explain if it is possible to change one of the functions of the landmark buttons? meaning, i would like when the landmark is pressed instead of going to a specific external site, it would load an external swf over the map instead, for better integration in my website.

I have created a map and it imported it into my website and it works fine when I preview it locally, but when I upload it to my ftp to my online website it displays message “Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.” even though I have latest version and the map does not show.

Any ideas??

Hello, I have a problem: if I want to create more, than 250 locations, then the map does not load the xml file. Up to 250 locations it works fine, but then, after inserting the 251st locations, the loading stops and the map shows nothing. I have to place 500 locations. What is the solution?

The Popup box appears on mouse over the landmarks. How to change the mouse over with a click event?

I am looking to purchase this module, but I am concerned with the Joomla issue posted above. I have not had luck in the past embedding flash and XML into Joomla. Was a solution found for this template? I just dont want to build something and find out it cant be done.

Could you add navigation buttons instead of the click and drag?

But the function landmarkImageResizeOnZoom=”no” does not works. The landmarkimage is resizing on zoom. I need a lot that image still at original size when I do zoom.

I really like your component and have been using it for a few months now, however I have a problem. I really need to be able to format the popup tool text. I need to be able to have three columns Text, text Image but as soon as I put in the image all the images go to the left or right based on the IMG tag and the text seems to go where ever. The only thing that seems to do anything is the BR tag. I would REALLY like to be able to use simple tables with cells. This would be perfect. I would be willing to pay for this option. Can you help?

Very nice works, I have only one problem:

I was unable to put a 890×600 jpg image as map, I only get “loading map” message, this is no a path issue, I’ve re-checked it. I known this is a xml misconfiguration, I’m doing something wrong, can you provide me a xml working example of jpg as map?
