Very interesting and original … can you pad the area around the object so that the text doesn’t get masked at all?
If you want to control the padding I’d suggest using a MovieClip with _alpha = 0.

WOW !
AWWHH ! < that’s about all I could say.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I like making people say, “Wow” or even better “AWWHH”. That’s incentive enough to write code like this.
Just for kicks and giggles I have linked to some more examples on polyGeek.com

amazing
Never saw this and did not even know this is possible and I have quite a bit of experience with flash but not as3. . .
which brings me to the question: is this as2 compatible?
LiquidText is written in AS2 . I’m going to make an AS3 version soon.

Thanks polyGeek for this,
We’ve all hit a ‘home run’ for sure with this contexts & contents fluidity mastery.

Hi,
is the is anyway to purchase this alone from the site with 4$ which i can pay though the payment mode. with out deposit.
Hey, two questions: 1. Did you ever convert this to AS3 ? 2. Can this easily be used in Flex?
Thanks, Brad
@Brad, sorry, I haven’t gotten around to doing an AS3 version yet. So it won’t work in Flex. The source code is there. You can take a crack at it yourself.
