Hi movingspirit,
This item only controls the volume of the flash file, to loop a sound you will have to set that when you play the Sound object such as:
mySound.play(0, 10);
this will loop the mySound 10 times.

Well in the demo I have the sound file play from the timeline, so you will have to remove the layer with the mp3 file and add the as code that plays your sound anywhere you want.
If you need more help I can try to modify your fla if you want to email it to me.
