I’m having problems with my background image. In the browser there’s a grey border. Image is not loading fully in ie or firefox.
How do I fix this problem?

@ buckles
I’m not sure what you mean, since this template does not use background images. If you are getting border around the flash content though then most likely you are using different html than was supplied, and you just need to set the margin css for the body tag to 0px. But like I said, I’m not 100% sure what you mean, so if that’s not it you may want to email me so I can better understand what you are having trouble with
@ MBMedia
To be a more clear:
I purchased your “Easy XML Background Image Rotator” and I’m using it along with your External Swf template. Reading your e-mail you sent me, I find the “index.html” is not the same as the original. I guess when I altered the flash file it published a new html file. I re-inserted the original html file and the issue I had with the image not fully opening is fixed, but now I can’t see anything but the background image (No menu, no banner etc.)
What should I do?
Thanks, btw I love your files. Buckles
Most likely it’s just showing the background rotator overtop of the other content. I see you emailed me, I’ll help you out from there
Thanks, MBMedia… Everything is working well.
I Just have one question: I’d like to have the preloader load in the middle of the page. Can I do this by simply moving it up in the center of the stage?
Thanks again for your fast response.
You’d need to find the main stageResize function. That makes it so that every time the stage resizes it places it towards the bottom. Then just change it to place it in the middle instead.
Once you get there, if you have a specific question of what to change, feel free to post it here.
Will you tell me what exactly to change and on what line #? I found about three instances of stageResize in the Main.as.
Thanks Rudy
The stageResize function in Main.as starts on line 73 and ends on line 85. In there is a line that changes the y value of the preloader instance (line 79). It’s basically a math equation, stage.stageHeight is the height of the stage, so setting it to stage.stageHeight/2 will be close, but you may want to tweak it to your needs using something line stage.stageHeight/2 + 10 or something like that.
MBMedia,
I’m trying to externally load another template into your template, but it isn’t working. Any particular reason why it’s not working properly? It loads partially but freezes.
Thanks, Rudy
Most likely the other flash file was not built to be able to load into another swf. The most common cause is the author incorrectly using the stage without making sure the file is loaded and added to the stage, which is the only time the stage can be accessed. If the file is something that is obviously meant to be standalone, not loaded into another swf then that is just how it is, for instance there would be no assumption that a full site template should load into another swf, it’s a standalone template. But if it is obviously a component then you should email the author and ask why the file would have trouble loading into another swf.
The file actually loads but I’m not able to center it…. It’s stage width & hieght is 1000×650 but uses 100% x 100% in it’s associated htm (not sure if that means anything).
The other file then most likely does it’s own placing based on stage size etc. Either way, it is not meant to be loaded into another swf, it is meant to be used on it’s own, and if it’s not my product then there isn’t anything I can do, contact that author. But if it is a full site template, then you cannot expect it to load into another full site template.
Hi, I like the template. I have purchased it along with your background image rotator and have been having difficulty getting the two to work properly. I get the backgrounds were you would expect them rotating across the middle of the page. Them menu and footers show up fine but when you click on any of the menu items those pages don’t show – just the images rotating. I am sure that I have done something wrong witht he layers but I am just a beginner and would appreciate a little more direction if possible. Thank you in advance for your time.
Sincerely,
Jamie
Click publish twice.
I am VERY pleased with your product. Very easy to use and uses SwishMax files flawlessly.
How can I add submenus?
Thanks in advance.
