can you help me please? just bought this for my site, and cant get it to work right. im loading your component by loadClip function into my main stage, and when i’m using another button to unload it (by removeMovieClip) and to load your slider again with different xml path and different images, images overlapping each other like there is two or more sliders on the stage. maybe it’s something with the _global ?

Hello I am sorry for the late reply. I am super busy with freelance projects at the moment so my time is really limited on customizing files. I am sure if you post in the forum one of the great authors will be able to do this for you probably on a freelance basis.

This looks like just what I need, but one question: Will it work with PNGs, especially transparent ones?

Hmmm. Well, I like this, Lester. However, I don’t think it works quite right with transparent pngs. The cross fade effect is lost because the first image stays present until well after the next has faded in and then eventually it just disappears instead of fading away. I think this is hidden when you have an opaque image (new image on top, so you can’t see the old image when it drops out).
I think I can probably modify the AS, but if you have an easy fix that would be great.

I’m having trouble getting the swf file to show in my site. I assume that I’m not placing something correctly. The SWF file looks fine if opened in the included HTM file or on its own. Can you help? Thanks!

Hi Are you embedding the file to html or WP?
Shoot me an email with a link so i can see what is happening. Also, the xml folder has to be in the root folder. You can change the path to the xml files in flash then you will have to re compile the movie and save. Anyhow just mail me and i should be able to figure it out for you.

Well, i looked at the fla but there is not much code in there other than this total = this.getBytesTotal(); loaded = this.getBytesLoaded(); percent = int(loaded/total*100); per = percent; //this.bar.gotoAndStop(per); this.bar._xscale = percent; if (percent == 100) { gotoAndPlay(4); } This was an xml driven slider but you are trying to put the images inside flash. This is why it takes so long to load if you go back to the original I can garantee you it will load fast just check out the AD preview. I don’t know why you would strip the code and load the images inside flash. I cannot help you how the fla is right know.
