Mouse Trailer Flies

How do I get this running with Flash8 settings?

Take a look at settings, and change to player 8.

thanx, but thats what i did. then there are no flies… there must be something to change in the as. i hope someone who purchased this file can help me.

Hey guys, had a look, sorry for that… all you need to do to get it to work in flash 7 or 8 is declare two variables in the initialisation script:

oldx = 0; oldy = 0;

Problem is it keeps returning NaN in flash 7+

Unfortunately using a mac the stuffit expander is coming out with error 37. Does anyone have the solution to this.

I like the way these flies look. Is there a way i can have them generate in a scene the same way without the mouse?

yeah, you can just change the script to reference a target object instead of the mouse and use that along a path or something.

just set your stage colour to black, then in the movie clip containing the fly, just change it’s colours to white and it’ll invert all the rest.
