Hi,
I purchased this file and it’s working great. My client has requested that the text in the first news item be a different color than the rest.
Could you please tell me the xml variable to change only the first news item?
I can see how to change it for all of them:
but not just an one single item.Thank you in advance!

Hi,
I’m a little confused and require some help. I have amended all the relevant information in the XML file…
Do I drop in ALL the associated files to my site’s root directory? I obviosuly already have an index file, so cannot import that file.
When I add all other files and embed the download.swf with Dreamweaver, the ticker is blank.
Where to the root files for the ticker go and how do you embed the flash file?
Thanks.
I got it working, it’s fine in latest versions of Firefox & Chrome, but its a greyed out box in lastest IE.
Any ideas?
Here is the my embedded code:
<object height="40" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="540">
<param name="movie" value="ticker/download.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="BGCOLOR" value="#666666" />
<embed bgcolor="#666666" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="ticker/download.swf" height="40" quality="high" width="540"></embed>
</object>
Can you please assist me – this is an urgent launch.
Thanks
Can you please reply to my query above.
Thanks for the reply.
This is the first time using a flash based ticker. After playing around with it, it’s working now.
Can you give me some details on using the swfobject method? I am unfamilair.
Thanks
Is it possible to use this without xml? I’d like to simply pass it a string via as3, no external file required.
