Hi,

I make a custom 3d icon in Swift. I works when I publish the swf but how do you set up the roll over effect and add text to it ? I know this is more Swift/Papervision subject but I would really appreciate your hans on this.

Anybody had chance in changing default color of an object then exporting the .daa file and publishing the fla ? Rollover detection do not work anymore. If I put back the default orange color it works again. Any idea ?

Hi icare, thanks for the purchase. The rollover works off the texture name which is assigned in swift. If you look in carousel.as you will see Untitled1Material01, not very descriptive i know. This must match the texture name/colour in swift. If you open the dae in notepad you can see how the names are used. Hope this makes sense, basically you need to know the name of the texture or model surface that swift exports and change it in the .as file or vice versa. Thanks, Chris

Thanks for your support. Can you give me a hand again ? I am importing an object, a plane in the middle of my icons. This plane name in Swift is “plane”. It get displayed into flash, ok.

What is the AS3 syntax to change its X position for example ? I tried : plane.x = 100; but I got errors.

Hello Icare,

To change the ‘home’ objects x position you would use…

swiftscene.getChildByName(“COLLADA_Scene”).getChildByName(“HomeObject”).x = 100;

This should work with the plane as well…Chris
