I’m on safari ( Mac ) latest version Public Beta. The preview seems to be functioning properly. Looks good man.
dune,
there is a market for it … wrapped up with a bow and bought as opposed to living in google searches from one topic to the next.
speaking of long searches, why do you have 338 items in your public Default Collection bookmark folder ?
how do you find anything?
nice to see you have an MB entry in your Cool folder !
hehe!..I haven’t gotten around to sorting them. I see something i like and I book market it but I own like 90% of those Items so it really doesn’t matter where they are booked marked to me. I have to go through it one of these days and delete everything that I’ve already purchased.
MB?.. let me check
I like this alot. Great use of Flash MB!
nice one
@ duneglow
Embedded fonts allowing non-standard fonts (shown is Agenda, can’t be shown consistently with HTML ), anti-aliasing on type regardless of viewer system, ability to pull in any swf in place of any image, fully music/media capable, the ability to pull custom swfs in as banners just through the xml that can do essentially anything incuding interact with page content, the ability to show overtop the indexable HTML content so that extra keywords can be added for SEO but not viewable to users, editing just through simple XML , the ability to predict content placement across browsers and systems, simple editability such as completely removing the mp3 player with changing one editable line of CSS , animated loading animations for images, animated transitioning in of content, I can go on and on and on…
The plain fact is that NONE of those advantages are present in plain HTML , and only a couple are even doable with AJAX . Flash is the only way to bring all those advantages to a site, and by mixing Flash capabilities with the familiar and extremely user friendly look of HTML /CSS you end up with the best flash experience possible for the end user.
By the way, why even bother commenting? Why do you go around commenting on items of an author with all items in AS3 , complaining that they’re AS3 ? I’ve been on the top 20 list for like 6 months straight now so I think you need to stop with the attitude that no one wants AS3 . Especially for self contained sites that won’t even require flash editing.
@ jezjones
That was actually an issue with SWFObject doing the embedding in safari (first time I decide to use it in a project and it bites the hand that feeds…
I fixed it this morning though, preview should be fine for everyone.
We need one for professional photographers. All the modules found in the following websites are all here in Flashden, but I still couldn’t see why is it hard for coders to design not based on their taste and own liking but a more generic one and with usability and flexibility.
I like this and I just purchased. I am sending you an email with a question.
Max
Bought this and like it very much. Am a bit of a newbie and wondered how you can change the background colour of the page to something other than white? -or is it blazingly obvious?
@ jonnyclip
The background color for flash embedded in html can be changed just by edited the script doing the embedding in the page, you should be able to find it right in the index php/html page where the swf is embedded, it is currently ’#FFFFFF’
What do you think about adding a simple xml menu and swfAdress?? Might increase the sales. Will definetely buy with those features included.
Love your files
Using the asset manager for all my projects.
Keep up the good work!
@ DCR
1) the top banner can load any swf (therefore any menu) so it is easy to put in a menu if you want. But 2) this file is just a simple easy portfolio version of a LARGE full XML template of the same nature that will come out in the next month or two, swfaddress, SEO , currently 40+ page modules planned, more options, etc.
Sweet!!
UPDATE AVAILABLE :
Feature added so that now the button text under each project is driven by the XML , and there can be any amount of the buttons under each. Also updated with google chrome and safari bugfix, now renders 100% the same (down to the placement and anti-aliasing of each character of text even) in all browser I’ve tested on. Let me know if you find any browser inconsistencies.
Update is great! Thanks for doing that. My page looks cool!!!
Hi,
i’m having problems adding new pages. We need a faq link that loads up a faq.php file and refreshes the content. Unfortunately the content of the php file isn’t being refreshed :-//. How do you add pages and make them refresh content?
cheers
Good looking and usable flash template. What Flash you’ve been using creating this template. The reason I’m asking I’m looking for a templates to integrate with flashmoto flash cms. So the best choice would be 9+ versions for CMS .
hi I like this its working but I need a quick understanding of how to reduce the over all size of the page..I think its like 900×600 Do I go into the source and resize all? or can I just adjust the browser.js? I would like the whole php file to load at about 700 to 80o px wide and 600 or auto height is fin.. Thanks
