No, you do not. There is a nice configurator included with whom you configure the banner. After saving the resulting XML your banner will do what you wanted him to do

The configurator is a web browser based tool to edit all preferences you need for the banner without touching the xml itself. So it is basically a web formular you have to fill. There is no XML visible to the user.

When you are using the client version it will be shown to you when you click the “show XML ” Button. Then you copy that XML , put it in your config XML on your filesystem and enjoy your lovely new banner!
