jurgenv, I just purchased your file and it’s sweet!
Is it possible to have the image, after the thumbnail is clicked, pop up on a different layer in the main timeline?
Thanks.

Is it possible to scroll only the x axis rather than both.
I have a same question like joden: Is it possible to scroll only the x axis (horizontall) rather than both.
Note to (potential) buyers: Due to my absence I have not been able to answer a lot of questions on my files. I will not get back to any questions asked earlier, but I will answer those asked from now on. So please, if you still have the same question, repost it here.
Regards,
Jürgenv
Can you load swf files, or call a MovieClip depending on the image clicked(image called “trees.jpg” can call “trees.swf” or “trees_mc”
? What I want is to have extra dynamic info, instead of just having text at the bottom of my image.
If I can activate this “on click action” by obtaining an image value, I believe I can take care of the rest. I need it to be on first click. Is this possible?
alien, well you can, but it would require some actionscripting. I do not have time to do this myself. You might want to do it yourself or find someone to do it for you.
Hi jurgenv!
I just bought this great file, but I’m having a little problem here. When I tested it online, images didn’t appear. I had to load the page one more time to see the images. Any way to solve this?
I noticed that loading the swf into a movie clip in my main flash movie results in the “not loading” problem, but just online. Copying the frames into my main flash movie solved the problem.
Anyway, you should check that out, if external loading is needed, the problem will appear again.
hi alien,
The loading from a different file will cause problems when the files are in different folders. The file references (to xml and image files) should then be relative to the loading movie’s folder.
Hello… this file looks great…!!!
I just have 1 pre-sales question… anyone who has already bought the file… feel free to answer…
Q: Can the thumbnail/tiles be presented in ‘any’ size or are they restricted to a particular size or scale/aspect ratio…???... When I increased the tiles width/height (in the demo) the thumbnails become stretched…?... Basically I want to know that I can have all my tiles displayed in one size and one aspect… likely 100×75px… and actual size… without stretching…?
Many thanks… deMelo
Hi deMelo, I answerred your email, but for anyone else interested: you can use any size of image as long as all tiles are the same size. If a .jpg or other file you load doesn’t fit in the tileWidth and tileHeight it will stretch.
Hi, When I load this as an external SWF into another movie it won’t sit top left of the movie clip container it tries to reposition down and to the right. Can you point me to the AS that controls the position? Great file by the way!
Hi, No problem, I found the code I needed to change. Basically amended the references to Stage width etc throughout and this corrected the position.
I still get the problem with images not appearing until I reload it though similar to other comments here. I’ve tried keeping the XML and image files in the same directory relative to the container movie on the server as you suggested, but this doesn’t seem to fix it.
Hi Jurgenv: I noticed on my site that a little word “undefined” comes up. I also noticed it comes up on yours too. How do I get rid of it?
Great File 5* !
Hi. I am having a problem with the word ‘undefined’ appearing just before the thumbs load. How do I get rid of this ? Thanks in advance.
Hi. I figured it out. In the actions layer of the ‘bigphoto’ symbol, after : ‘else { if (sized == false && loader._url != _root._url) { size(); sized = true; } preloader._visible = false; }’
I added the following code:
‘if (captionText == undefined){ captionBar._alpha = 0; } else { captionBar._alpha = 100;}’
and the ‘undefined’ text now does not show.
