There is no version 2 coming, both versions are included in the download

Can this be resized at all? I’m interested in trying it for a project but I don’t now if it will fit at 800×400.

All elements are right in stage and can be repositioned for the most part just by dragging them around and resizing the background graphics, etc. The trickiest part is resizing the mask area for the scrolling menu. For that you click inside the movieclip named msk in the main clip, and resize the vector graphic inside it, because that size is what it reads for the mask area for the menu.

As long as you have ok flash knowledge that should be enough. If you get it and have trouble resizing just email me

i accidently bought this not knowing its as3. anyway i can get an as2 version?

I’m sorry, I don’t do AS2 . I’m very sorry for the confusion but there isn’t really anything I can do for you I just recommend checking the AS version to the right of the file description from now on.

I assume that updates are all done externally via an xml file or such, so that there is no need to republish the swf for every update?

Yes, the content is XML driven. That includes the list of titles on the left, the large title for each story, the smaller subtitle for each story, and the main body text for each story. Also the CSS is updated to control colors and styling, and that does not require republishing either

Hi i downloaded this and everytime i change one thing in the flash file for instance a colour or the font it oputs a dozen errors to do with masks? How can i edit it without this happening?

I found a bug in it. I use 3 images and some long text. Then when I scroll it with mouse wheel, the scroller become over height.

Will you fix for this?
