very cool!
cool
Hi Patrick,
I just purchased your menu. Looks great, but I can’t find the code in the project to adjust the parameters. I’m a little new to flash (hence why I purchased a menu) so any help locating it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Twitch
Nevermind, I think I just saw some of the parameters.
Spoke to soon. I saw a couple of the parameters, but I don’t see any actionscript anywhere.
@twitchsbrew: You can find the actionscript in the .AS file. When unzipped you’ll find it in the /classes/ folder (named “rubbermenu_as3.as”). There you can also add the actions to be performed on menu item click. Check the Readme.htm for instructions.
Patrick. This is really great and I recommend it. The files are well organized and the (external) .AS file is well commented. Of course, that didn’t keep me from getting confused and I appreciate your VERY FAST reply with assistance. My client is very pleased with it. Thanks again.
Patrick Jansen,
Great file!!
Can you please send me the parameters/AS script used for the ActiveDen preview (all three sample demos). Please send them ASAP .
The documentation included doesn’t provide instructions to integrate the ‘Rubber Menu’ into an existing Flash site/template either as ‘drop&down’ or as an external .swf.
Thanks in advance.
No problem, contact me through my profile page so I can send them per email attachment. The implementation into other works should be quick, copy the library contents from my .fla to yours, copy the folders with .AS class file you unzipped to your .fla’s directory, then copy paste the keyframe with the menu to your .fla, then it should work. After that it’s a matter of adding Actions to the buttons.
Patrick,
Quick question: How to retract a menu item back to its original state without clicking another menuitem but rather when a button is clicked instead; for example
A Rubber Menu item has been clicked by the user and displays or opens content (dialog or other module) with a “Close” button (i.e. icon, etc). The user, clicks the button to remove both the content from the stage and the Rubber Menu item back to original position as when the page loads.
Please respond ASAP .
Thanks in advance!!
