Also, for the randomize setting in the xml: false, no, “0’, ””, and deleting the line all have no effect and simply render a grey stage. Your instructions file indicates what to put in if you want it to be random, but there is no note on what the command is to have it go down the ordered list. any help there is appreciated also. Thanks!

all I did was change “false” to “true” in the randomize. Thats why I bought this for random selection of my pics.

Hi..nice work..I’m trying to embed this into my AS3 project. I followed the instructions, but it didn’t work… TX for your time!

Great file! I had it working in 15 minutes. The instructions weren’t completely clear to me, but I understand you can’t write a 30 page manual for every single person who’s never installed a line of code.

Anyway, it works – it’s easier than anything else out there – and I am very happy.

I’m really new to this so this may sound like the dumbest question ever but here goes…

I would like to advertise on the website of a local newspaper. In order for them to place the ad they require a .swf file. I purchased your banner as it is exactly what I’m looking for. I opened it up and made all the necessary changes in regards to images and interval. Preview.fla looks great. My problem is that I don’t know how to convert this to a .swf file. Is this possible and if so, how? I have access to Flash.

Typical of me…buy now, ask questions later!

what is the best way to add this slider to a wordpress sidebar? I want to add it as a widget using the ‘text’ sidebar widget. This widget allows you to add html code to the sidebar. However, the pages that I’m adding the file to are not stored in the same directory on my site as the ‘main’ folder (i’ve renamed it to slider) that you have your sample ‘index.html’ file in. Copying over the code doesn’t seem to be working. What do I need to change in the code if i have everything uploaded in the folder you sent…but the code is being placed elsewhere (on the same domain…just not on a file saved in the folder with the other slider assets).

Also – is it necessary to do the edits to BOTH the HMTL and the Flash file? If i leave the flash file alone and make the edits to the html and xml file – is that enough?

I’m thinking the XML might not work for wordpress so I’ve found some code that people claim works if you have a swf file to use in the ‘text’ widget. I’m adding that code below. However, your instructions aren’t clear to me how I should change the two lines of text in the preview.fla file. Your instructions say to ADD the two lines of code…however, when I go to the actions panel and click on the frame with actions in it, those two lines of code are already there. I am also unsure if I’m supposed to replace the ‘stage.stageHeight’ and ‘stage.stageWidth’ text OR add to it. If my images are 225 wide by 199 high, should it look something like this:

Also – can I put an absolute path to the image and xml file? Something like http://www.sasitup.com/partners/slider/bannerimages/

Hi there, Love the script. Works if I put the folders ‘bannerimages’ and ‘xml’ and the file preview.swf all in the root folder. However, I’m using the script in a php include, and no matter how i re-route the file ‘preview.swf’ it will not work. Any ideas?

example: ’../front_adbox/preview.swf’

Bought this a few months ago and it works great. One question – we’ve got a banner ad that is actually an animated gif. It gets displayed, but just the first frame. Is this possible with this ad rotator or is it a limitation of flash?

Very nice script. I can put only two files in server i want to show the banner (preview.swf and xml file)The other files i had to put in my server (images and other files) The server i want to put my ads, dont allow me to put more than 2 files.

What should I change in the file system

I’m interested in purchasing this. Can you please tell me if it’s possible to embed this within a Flash site instead of inside of an HTML page?

I added the files to my server and added the code below to my html document and all I am seeing is the scrolling sample images and not the images I added to both the XML file and the bannerimages folder on the server. The only way this works for me is if I overwrite the 5 sample images included which accomplishes nothing because I have 8 images that I would like rotating. How can I add more images?...here are the images in the xml document.

I cleared the cache several times. All I keep seeing is a grey box with no scrolling images. Thats when I decided to overwrite the image file that came with the software to see if that works….and it did but, doing it this way only means I can display 5 images since that is how many were bundled with the software.

I got it to work. The problem was the bannerimages folder needed to be removed from the code within the xml document.
