Simple XML News Viewer

This is a Flash 8 (Actionscript 2.0) based XML News Viewer so you need FLash 8 or higher to play/edit this file.

Features:

• This file is easy to implement into your own project.
• Changeable colors of backgrounds, texts, scroller, ...
• You can add an unlimited amount of newsitems.
• The link to an external site and thumb are optional for each newsitem.
• You can easily change the size of the whole component by changing 2 variables (width and height).
• You don’t need much knowledge of flash programming to work with this news viewer.
• You can easily change the amount of spacing or the size of your thumbs
• Images and texts are loaded in outside of the flash file so it’s easy to update your news frequently.
• You can easily change the size, color and other properties of your text elements.
• Scrollwheel support.
• The actionscript code is extensivly explained in the FLA .

Update 27 September 2008:

• You can use special characters like &, é, è, à, $, <, >, /, ”, ’... You’re also able to make the text bold, underline the text or put the text in italics.
