SimpleSlide 2

Simple Slide 2 brings massive improvements to the original; album support, dynamic stage size (even full screen!), configurable background color and text positioning. It’s smaller, more configurable and much better suited for dynamic sites.

Configuration is done via a simple XML -file. The speed, order of images, links, captions (and position of captions) – everything’s avaliable for adjustments. Working in Flash Player 8 and above, it supports SWF , JPG, GIF and PNG .

The album feature is best demonstrated over at studiofluid.com. They’re controlling every instance of SimpleSlide with a single configuration file.

Note: If you want to load the SimpleSlide.swf via loadMovie, just add “_lockroot = true” to the top of the Actions-frame and recompile.

As of 12th of february 2008 I’ve updated SimpleSlide to 2.1, so now you are able to put the slideshow in a movieclip, and control the captions through XML (eg. turn them off, turn animation off and turn mouse interaction off). Here’s a demonstration.
