A full working preview of V.3 can be seen here
A limited (nope, it doesn’t save) working preview of V.3 ADMIN can be seen here

Simply Gallery v3 – XML /PHP driven picture wall with upload option and admin.
This gallery viewer is specifically made to display uploaded images, but you can still use it to display your own images with a flip of a variable.
It does NOT support multiple galleries and it’s NOT drag and drop-able (but you could load it as a movie into your project).
V.3 writes all comments to an XML file which is editable with an admin panel (included). The admin also enables you to upload your images without having to make thumbnails (and much more off course).
Features:- Full XML , so everything is external and modular
- Display a background image (tiled, centered or sized to window)
- Display your logo with filter options (shadow, bevel, glow and reflection)
- Footer with 3 text positions and HTML CSS formatted content
- Define all colors you see on stage
- All settings editable with the included CMS /admin panel
- Set the width and height of the thumbnails
- Define if you want to have the thumbs rotated at random or not at all
- LightBox to display the image in it’s original size or fit to browser
- Internal lightBox navigation
- Keyboard support
- Upload option (PHP included) with auto renaming and file type protection
- Server side thumbnail creation
- Define the minimum and maximum file size for the upload
- Full screen option (which can be disabled)
- Liquid layout that always fills the screen with the maximum amount of images
- Auto page creation and labeling
- Comment system
- Simple tag style support
- Foul word filter that is easy to edit (TXT file)
- Splash screen
- Button FLA ’s included
- Help file in several formats (DOC, PDF and TXT )
- Fully coded so only 19kb
So it’s not “simple”, it’s “simply” a gallery that resizes to any size you embed it in and still looks good!
PHP and GD Lib are required for the upload to work properlyIf you don’t know if you have GD Lib (which is free) on your server, download this file. Put it on your server, browse to it and it needs to say:
- That it’s installed
- That it can read and write GIF (true)
- That it supports JPG (true)
- That is supports PNG (true)
Code: AS2
Enjoy, FonZ
