I want to use the onfinish event to hide the countdown and to open a new browser window. Where should I declare the onfinish event, when I don’t have a flash program? Or is this only possible in Flash with action script?

ufoufoufo

Yes, you can add the getURL(“http://anyurl”,”_blank”) inside the onfinish function to popup a new browser window

ok thank you for your answer ufoufoufo. But I don’t understand where to call the onfinish event? Is this done in the html, in the javascript, where the swfobject is created? Or somewhere else?

ufoufoufo

No, in the actionscript, you can open the fla file in flash, and it already contains the onfinish event sample code at layer “as”, keyframe “1”, all you have to do is call the getURL inside the onfinish function, there are some introductions adout http://help.adobe.com/en_US/as2/reference/flashlite/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118ccf9c47f-7fc9.html

Thanks ufoufoufo.

It seems the countdown reads the time of the client’s pc. What I really want is to read the webserver’s time, so all the website visitors wil see the same seconds left. How should I do this?

ufoufoufo

Hi, all users will see the same seconds, you can try open your test page in different computer

Is it also possible to use it as a normal clock instead of a countdown?

ufoufoufo

Hi, you can’t use it as a clock in this version, but if you really need it, I also provide custom service, feel free to contact me here http://activeden.net/user/ufoufoufo

Hey there, I need a 2 hour countdown, however I don’t have flash. I was wondering if you could create a 2 hour countdown (from 2 hours to zero), within a 2 minute period, and export it as a .mov with alpha for me. I could pay you additional for the services. jaegermah{at}gmail{dot}com. Looking for a quick turnaround.
