Also if are embedding the swf into a html file, make sure the embed code matches your movie size. There is a section on this in the help file.

Hi, great menu!! Nice and smooth… i am stuck however as i cannot open the menu.fla file to change the background to transparent so there is no background? I have tried downloading a few times and still cannot open it. I am using a Mac, so do not use Winzip. Any suggestions?

Hi,
what happens when you open the .fla? Also are you embedding the file into a html page? if so read the end of the “Resizing the menu” section in the help file. Its tells you how to change the background color.

Hi, Yes i am embedding the file into a html page. I will have a read as you suggested.
When i try to open the .fla, it says “Failed to open document”. It’s as if the file has been corrupted on download somehow but i have tried downloading it several times and the same with each. Perhaps you could send just the “menu.fla” file to my email address. That might solve any doqnload issue i may be having with this.

Sounds like you have a older version of Flash. You need CS3 or CS4 .

hi chuckanucka, I was trying to implement this menu as an external file and its coming back an error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at com::menu()
this is what i have:
