Hi, nice template. I am trying to insert a link in the text area of each timeline item. It doesn’t work. I am using HTML href command as usual. What can I do to insert link to urls in the text area?

There is “timelineLinkColor” and “timelineLinkOverColor” attributes in “Settings.xml”. These attributes define colors of the links.

Hi, I’m interested in buying this template. But I first need to know about this template limitations. I have a lot of entried to display, and I think that can cause some visual complications with the basic configuration, can I display first all the years from per example 2005 to 2012 and than open 2006 and there display the topics? Can I group the topics by year and than open to expand? Thanks
It doesn’t have the functionality to collapse/expand entries. But you can group entries into different xml files and fetch from different html files which are using the same swf file. Than you can direct visitors to these html files from a splash page or something.
Five stars. Very elegant and flexible template. We were able to use it in an e-learning project. The ability to customize almost everything through the xml files is extremely convenient. The developer spared no trouble answering our questions in a speedy manner. We highly recommend this and we’ll definitely buy again from Lynch.

Almost perfect for my needs but i have a huge range of info i need to put into the timeline spanning about a century, do you have any way of generating a wider flash file and just let people use a scroll bar (or mouseover) to view?
I’m aware of that will be a very useful for most of the buyers but I’m so busy for the next 2 or 3 months. So I won’t be able to do it so quickly.
I actually changed it to publish as a wide timeline (increased the html width %) and the elements all functioned correctly except the milestone description page, it always appears on the leftsde with the forward and close icons on the right. If I could just have the milestone info come up above its point on the timeline it would work perfectly.

But it still needs some modifications. 1. We need to send HTML page’s horizontal scroll position to SWF through JavaScript. 2. We need to take that position and define description page’s X position with that.

I add that scrollbar on flash itself and this is much more easier. But I’m still so busy to do this. So…
How do I embed this into a webpage? I want it to go into a table cell…. I’ve tried to use DreamWeaver to simply drag the .swf file over into the cell but all I get is a black square…. I sure could use some help on this.
