Hello. Nice and usefull. Is it possible to use this component throught ActionScript? I want to make an instance with “attachMovie”, set the parameters by programming and terminate its existance with “removeMovieClip”. Thanks.
@jojospecial; Yes that is no problem. You can simply give the component a linkage name and call it with attachMovie. You’ll also need to pass the at-runtime instance the required variables (you can access them in the component definition). I just tested it myself and runs smoothly.
Hello again. I purchased the componet and I tried to work with it through actionscript but everything freezes. Maybe it’s becouse I use it in a very complex situation. Could you share your test code so I can figure out where I go wrong? Thanks a lot.
Addition to last comment. I did’t initialize the object’s parameters. Now I do and the player doesn’t crush, but the stars do not move towards the end of the screen. I can’t find any other parameter that I should initialize. I can see movevent towards the mouse pointer, or if I use “vortexpull=0”, a minor rotation in the center of the object, but nothing more.
I tried different values for the required values. Everything is much better now. Thanks anyway.
@jojo : If you need, simply contact me by email or flashden-contact form and I’ll send you the .fla.
FYI : I simply pushed “all” the parameters from the component to the addChild instance and then it looks exactly as if you’d dragged it to stage from the Library. From there you can adjust them as you please
Can this be controlled fade in and out, stop and start by a button once I have set it to one chosen effect?
Darn! exactly what i was looking for for a project, be happy to spend $8 if it was as3
I’m interested in purchasing this.
I know nothing about AS though. I bought something similar but not as good as yours and want to make it customised to use on this website www.goanimate.com. The studio is set to 24 frames per second and 550 by 360 pixles. How difficult would it be to created a looping background of stars moving towards and back?
Could you even customise it for me if I purchased it?
P.s I have CS5
Thanks Cat x
The direction of the stars is one-way. CS5 should be no problem. I do give support on every item, customization or changes are done on a case by case basis
