the icon isn’t moving well with the button, and i’m not to keen on it popping back out again slightly, but apart from that, pretty good.

Thanks cokoli. Comments appreciated.
Reaper: to be fair the icon is in flash over the png files so a little tweaking if one was inclined could make this to your tastes. As for popping out. You could alwys remove the frame that sends it backwards by a fraction so this it it just pushed back into place on rollout. Very easy to customise if needed.
thanks for all your comments

A few people have asked:
the file was built in CS2 so should work fine it that.
To change the text: Double click on the button you want, and then double click on the text movieclip. Select the text and change to what you like. If you’re having trouble editing the text, go to the library and double click on either home_text or home_text2 depending on what movie clip you whan and edit the text from there. Make sure you embed the text by selecting the text, go to the property panel, click “embed” and then click”auto fill”. This will make sure your text is nice and sharp.
Hi, Love the button! I bought it, and easily changed the behavior to only depress when the user clicks on the button.
I have 2 things I want to do next: I want to change the button color to red, and I want to detect the button press in Adobe Flex.
Any tips on how to edit the individual frame images in Photoshop, to make it look like a red plastic button, instead of white? I want to keep the photo-realistic appearance.
When I embed the SWF file I output from Flash CS4 in my Adobe Flex app using the SWFLoader control, it works great. But I can’t then use the normal “click” event on that control to detect when the button was clicked, in Flex. Any ideas?
thanks! - Rich

Hi Ronr, thanks for purchasing this item. Glad you like it. My apologies for not getting back earlier. It may be easier to contact me directly from my profile page if you have any further issues. With regard to colour change this was rendered in 3d as individual images so I could create other coloured versions but it takes a little while to complete. Your best bet short term is to open the psd file that came with the package. Create a new adjustment layer above all the other layers:
Layer>New adjustment layer>Hue Saturation: Click colorize and then adjust the bars to create the colour that suits. Red is more difficult to achieve as you will find out.
once you have the desired colour hide the white bg and then save each image individually to your desktop
File>save for web> select png 24bit as yor output image.
As for flex I’m not familiar with this. It would be difficult for me to give you any advice.
Any further problems please let me know
