The Replacement YouTube Player with Video Playlist

UPDATED FEBRUARY 1 , 2012 Fixed a bug that was caused by YouTube changing a few settings.

I admit that there is no better video service on the planet than YouTube, but I also admit that the standard YouTube player is not the prettiest. That’s why I wanted to build a video player that could utilize youtube’s video service, and also be used for video files you host on you own webserver… and so this player was born.

It’s built to utilize flashvars for all the settings so you need only upload the SWF file once and then just pass vars to it to reuse it over and over. The player can also be customized by specifying certain settings that change the colors, and what’s displayed. In short there’s now a great YouTube player that you can tailor to fit your website and still utilize YouTube’s amazing video service.

Supports h.264, flv, mov, mp4, m4v, and f4v. Adaptively adjust video quality based on your connection and display size, and it utilizes the new stage video feature in flash player 10.2 to increase performance (flash player 10.2 not required though for playback).
