May 24, 2009 Update – Fixed the browser cache / refresh bug

The Timeline Banner Rotator is a very flexible and customizable banner rotator that shows which image you are currently on by a progressive timeline track. This is a numbered track and each numbered section is a button so you can skip to that image. It is very simple and compact, yet flexible and customizable; you can change many things, including the timer speed, the color of many elements, choose from several transitions, size of the banner and much more! Please see below for a full list of things you can change in the XML .

AS3 only. Opens with Flash CS3 .

Step by step instructions are included and code is commented. Also, two html files are included to demonstrate SWF embedding for both full browser and fixed size.

> The width of the banner
> The height of the banner
> The background color of the banner
> Whether or not you want it to dynamically resize the banner to fit the SWF size
> Whether or not it starts playing initially
> The border of the banner
> The background color of the bar
> The color of the lines at the top of the buttons
> The color of the numbers of the buttons
> The timer speed to change the image
> The color of the timer bar
> The transparency of the timer bar
> The type of transition of the text, choosing from none, fade and fly (from top, bottom, left and right)
> Whether or not the transition of the text is blurred, choosing from no, a general blur, a horizontal blur or a vertical blur
> The transition speed of the text
> Whether or not the images are randomized
> The type of transition of the images, choosing from none, fade and fly (from top, bottom, left and right)
> Whether or not the transition of the images is blurred, choosing from no, a general blur, a horizontal blur or a vertical blur
> The transition speed of the images
> Whether or not to display the mouse over effect on the images that have a link button activated
> The file path of each image or SWF file
> The link out URL and the target for that link out of each image
> The description text of each image, which is HTML format enabled
