I would have bought this, but the purchase link on the site does not work.
for all you who purchased this file, a rating would do no harm, lol, thnx for buying.
Okay. Forgive me of my ignorance but I’m brand new to Flash.
What exactly am I inserting into frame 1? Do I insert the frames from the .fla file? There are two layers. Do I insert both of them?
Also, in order to paste the preloader on frame 1, how do I slide the rest of my frames over from my movie? Do I insert a frame, a keyframe, or a blank keyframe. I’m confused.
I have been able to copy and paste the preloader in my movie but I’m doing some thing wrong. It’s repeating the preloader over and over. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you so much for your help.
Hi cbesh2, what you are inserting on Frame 1 is the preloader movieclip, just copy from the flash file and into your file, don’t worry about the other layer, it is just a comment to explain how the preloader works.
To slide the rest of your frames you can select all of the frames on the timeline with your mouse, and drag them to right just one frame, or you may insert a blank keyframe on the first frame.
the preloader will play the second frame of your movie when it’s finished, so remeber to tell the movie to stop ar some point or it will go on a loop
i hope this will let you put that tiny preloader to work!!
Sounds good. Thanks for your help. But how do to “tell the movie to stop at some point” so that it won’t go on a loop. Also thanks for forgiving me of my Flash ignorance.
Hej Sparias
Really nice preloader I have a problem when opening the page with the preloader, cause it doesn’t count. It rotates and does everything else it should do, but it just doesn’t count from 1 to 100 it’s just stuck on 100 from the beginning and then fades out when everything is loaded.
Hi yogananda, are you using the preloader on a main movie? on or a loaded movie?, i f you may, send me the files to my email sparias@hotmail.com and i wiil test for any bugs.
Not sure why it’s not found anywhere…but what version of AS does this file use??
Does that % count actually work? Or is it pretty much an animated intro like most the preloaders sold on this website :/
@smahalko: this is AS2
@leongaban: i don’t think that what you say is correct, i think most preloaders on this site serve their purpose: to show the percentage as the movie loads; and yes, this % count actually works.
Hej Sparias
Really nice preloader, I have it on the first scene of my document but it seems that the loader only appears at about when 70% of the document is loaded. Before then, a white screen is visible.
Any ideas? Thanks!
simple but useful
