Super file!! And great directions and documentation. Easy to place and play. Thanks … Just what I needed!

As a newbie, I really, really appreciate when the documentation is clear and fully explained.

Thanks!

Hello. I’ve got the neat audio pill working in my project, but it needs to be clicked to play the background music. Where in the FLA or the AS files or the XML file do I edit the code to auto start?

Thanks in advance.

Tried, but I can’t get this puppy to load. should be as simple as changing the xml file. (I use DWCS5 ). I placed the .swf on index page the rest of the files in a folder entitled ‘mp3’ (I also use FLCS5 so AS3 is default and not an issue. The only thing that I was required to do in Flash was publish the movie with the properties edited to fit content (as 590pxx300px was not needed) What shows on index page is a white box were swf media should be with indication that (1 item remaining) and the document title tab now shows that forever spining loader, indicating that the page is still loading, but of course it never does, because of the mp3 player failing to load correctly. Can you please offer your advice. Thank you.

Looks near what I want, but I want autoplay with one click to turn off.

If this can do that, then I will buy.

Thanks

Hello, I like the look and design of this. I am interested in using the player on an album page to preview tacks before the customer purchases them. I would like to have each track listed with a player next to it. The customer would click the button to preview the track and click it to stop and then click on another track to preview a separate track.

I would like the tacks to be called from mp3 instead of xml so i don’t have to create 100 different xml files.

Can this player do all of this?

I purchased this item, and I cannot get the player to work on the web: http://solcompass.com

however, when I open the site on my computer (any broswer) the song plays just fine. all the files and folders are setup in the EXACT same order – on my computer and server.

what is going on here?

I am a newbie in working with Flash CS3 . I have familiarized myself with some of the basic functionality. I purchased this player with the intent to add it to Ruben Bristian’s kens burns slideshow that I also purchased. The instructions that came with this player are very generic. Can anyone help me with this task? It seems simple, but I am confused as far as what to put where. In a day video tutorials,it would be so much easier if the developers were to include that type of instructions, as opposed to generalized instructions. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m a bit confused, the instructions aren’t generic at all, they are step by step of how to put this specific player into your flash…

1) copy the “local” folder into the folder where your .fla is
2) now open the Main.fla, copy the player off of the stage, paste it in your .fla. All the assets it needs from the Main.fla library should automatically copy themselves right into your file.
3) Of course, make sure to copy the xml file and all your assets over to that folder too!

A video for those 3 steps would be a tad overkill honestly, literally the only thing you do in flash is copy and paste the thing on stage from Main.fla into your .fla.

[QUESTION]

I’ve resized it and embeded into my web “html” file.

It looks great but It doesn’t play…It works when i open it flash player. This is my embed code:

<object border="0" id="obj1" height="21" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" width="36" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0">
                <param name="movie" value="./audio/Main.swf" />
                <param name="quality" value="High" />
                <embed name="obj1" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="./audio/Main.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="21" quality="High" width="36" /></object>

Something wrong with it?

I see your source is ”./audio/Main.swf”. Flash looks for files like the xml and mp3 files relative to the page. So the swf thinks the files are in the same directory as it…but the html as actually using the swf in a different place…so flash isn’t finding the files. The simplest solution would be to put the swf/xml and assets folders in the same folder as the HTML file where they are being used.

I just purchased this item based on your customer comments. I did want a minimal sized player to play one single song for a website. I made my main decision on your customers claiming the installation instructions are pretty easy to understand. I am a newbie with installing a player so this is right up my alley.

Cross your fingers I wont get it too mucked up..

Great looking little button player.. Kind of would prefer a one click mute rather than having to slide it to the left.
