hi,

i was wondering the same thing. i try the query in real life example, lets say my query is new york and i want 10 posts.

i see in a browser, and the result is actually sorted by latest tweets, which the newest come on top.

any idea?

and a question…any chance it will be upgraded to AS3 ?

Damn, I kinda have overlooked this comment, I apologize for that. Anyway, it seems like parser returns all the twikks properly sorted – according to date of publish. So there must be some some sort of “array reverse” performed at Flash side. Currently I am unable to access FLA file (missing Flash app on this laptop) but can have a look in the next couple of hours. Please drop me a message to my private email address as a reminder. OK…to be honest I didn’t try to include Twikker to another flash/swf file but only to HTML page. I guess there shouldn’t be a prob to do it as long as both parent file and Twikker reside in the same folder (along with all other Twikker required files). As I recall, external swf files are included to some movieClip (createEmptyMovieClip()) coz that’s how you can move it around the stage and have control over positioning.

Did you try to add “System.useCodepage = true;”? When you open “twikker.fla” for edit, double click on first frame, layer “a” in order to open Actions panel. Then just paste above any other code “System.useCodepage = true;”, save and re-upload to server.

I’m not sure what you are trying to achieve mate but there’s an example HTML which shows you how to properly embed SWF . True, it’s a little bit older version but haven’t change much until today.

sorry for my dumb question, but I’ve uploaded the twikker.swf file into my html page and I don’t see anything. I’ve got all the scripts installed and when I hover over the area, I can see the tag but not the feeds. what am I doing wrong?

You question is not dumb mate, some people have problems with default parser file. I just have replied to your email and sent another file so hopefully it’ll be all right.

Twikker has been made to display user tweets related to a certain keyword/term and relies on Twitter’s search API part.
You could use it for another purpose but it could take time for me to type out a mini guide on how to.
On a side note, I can’t be sure what’s the level of knowledge you have re PHP .

on windows.

since i couldnt edit the FLA i uploaded your folder to my server, i checked the proper files and they are set to your default hashtags yet when i view it, all i get is NULL

That’s kinda silly. How come it works properly on my server while yours reports an error? I feel stupid if I say that your server doesn’t have PHP installed. Is it Windows IIS with no php support?

nope i think its apache…i know for SURE not windows…and yes my server is php5…I added the code in my .htaccess lonnnng ago so Im fine in that area.

I just enabled that directory with a php.ini file i used: allow_url_fopen = ON

Now I dont get Null,..I get nothing at all…. Same as with the direct link to the parser…now that Ive made the fix, it does nothing
