Thanks MBMedia
So is access to the page held until approved?
Great file and good customer service. File is well documented and works great.
@findley75494
Not sure if understood correctly. This is just a simple user login front end in which you, the author, will create a username and password for a specific client.
@mwilson
Thanks for the kind words, enjoy the file.
how are usernames and passwords stored can my client easily add them/
@mgason
Only the author/owner of the site so to speak can add and remove users from within the flash file.
Hey when I try to open the file in Flash 8 it says un expected error and it wont open why is that email back art@graphichouze.com please
@eryxmedia Did you sort out this issue by re-downloading the files? Double check you’re opening the .fla file with Flash 8 +
I’m looking for multi user login, in your comments you state “Each user account can have a unique URL that will open once the correct username and password have been entered.” How does this work? Do I have to create the same file multiple times in multiple locations for this to happen? Thnx in advance for your help.
Hi,
That’s correct. i.e.
User A has a username of usernameA and a password of passwordA and when they log in they get redirected to http://www.yoursite.com/userA
At that location you can place whatever content you want that specific user to see.
Hope that helps.
Hi just purchased this but I can’t seem to be able to open it in Flash 8?? Unexpected file format?
I love this, I am definitely going to purchase. I’m a flash noob. Can I change colours in flash and logo? How easy is that?
Hi,
You can easily modify any colours in the flash file. The logo itself is a jpeg image so it can’t be changed from within flash itself; if you are familiar with photoshop it’s pretty easy to modify. Get in touch once purchased and i can help you out with that.
Cheers
this looks interesting. i would get it if you can instruct me on how to integrate this into a flash site. i have a flash site and would want to integrate this login screen into a tab on my site. any thoughts? are you able to provide info on how to do it? thx
A rudimentary question I’m sure, but I would be grateful for an answer.
I just need to build a very simple “under construction” page and have a login button on the page OR have the login already displayed on the page. This will only be a temporary thing and as soon as the site goes live, the login and under construction will go away.
I’m familiar with xml and do a “passable” job working with it. I can also work with embedding flash or action scripts into Dreamweaver.
From reading about your product it does not appear that I will need to understand anything beyond what I already know. In other words, I will not need to deal with Java or PHP or any other language.
So really, I’ll just integrate your product with my site the same way I have integrated other xml-based rotating banners.
Is all that correct?
Thank you for your response.
Tom
Hi Tom,
You’re spot on. All you would have to do is embed the login swf in your index page.
One thing though, this file actually doesn’t use any XML files. You will have to re-publish the swf with the desired username and passwords before embedding it.
I hope that clears everything up.
I’m still confused.
I’m thinking that I will put the swf file in the root directory of my web site and I guess that’s what you’re saying by embedded it in the “index page”, but that’s not entirely clear.
Next, when you say “republish” what does that mean? I’ve never heard anyone use that word in this context.
And then lastly, how is the logo embedded in swf. And what about the URL target? And where are the passwords and user ids stored? You mention javascript in the .pdf docs, but I can’t locate the javascript. Where is it and how do I find it?
Anyway, I bought your product this afternoon and I sent you an email. I would be grateful for any assistance you can provide.
Thanks.

A follow up on my last post.
Do I need to have Flash on my PC in order to work with this file? All I have is a flash reader and I don’t think my version of Dreamweaver (CS4) has Flash.
So if Flash is required, I’ll have to purchase a developer’s copy in order to modify your scripts.
Do I have that right now?
Tom
Hi again Tom,
As i mentioned in my reply to you this file does not use any XML files whatsoever. You will need to open the .fla in flash, change the user name, passwords and re-direct URL and then re-publish it.
One thing though, this file actually doesn’t use any XML files. You will have to re-publish the swf with the desired user name and passwords before embedding it.If you don’t have flash currently installed you wouldn’t necessarily have to purchase it. You could download the trial version instead:
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash
I emailed you i think as well. I would like to know how to get this into my own flash website. You can see it at photography.t-rofilms.com I just want to make a new tab “easy I can do that” but I just don’t know how to get it integrated into it.
I just bought this script and enjoy it , but when i open the .fla file in my Adobe Flash Professional CS5 to change anything, I have no cursor and nothing can be typed in the info boxes after it has been saved. Can you tell me what is going on here? Thanks.
OK, so i’ve opened the .fla file in Flash Pro CS5 on both windows 7 and mac OS X , same versions on both. Everything seems to be working just fine. It could be that your installation had been corrupted or possibly the files that you had downloaded from Activeden were corrupted.
May i suggest you try to re-download the package from your account and try again. If you’re still having trouble try opening the file on another computer with flash. I can also e-mail you the original files, if you’d like to try those e-mail me via my profile page.
Cheers,
Peter
You wrote:
“User A has a username of usernameA and a password of passwordA and when they log in they get redirected to http://www.yoursite.com/userA"
Question: Will the people who login be able to go up the file structure to see other folders?
for example: once they login they will be able to see /userA folder, but can they type in the url /userB and also be able to view that folder?
Thanks.
Hi,
This is just a simple log in – redirect file. It doesn’t store any cookies and thus can’t allow/deny access to any other folders once logged in.
If you are to use this for multiple users then i would suggest naming the redirect location with a naming structure that is not easy to figure out.
Cheers,
Peter
