This is a tutorial file which demonstrates how to move from section to section, using the continents of the world as examples ( you could use any movie clip though). It runs completely on script, there are NO TIMELINE TWEENS in here. You can either click the menu items, or the continents themselves. Theoretically you could trigger actions when the motions are finished, by adding a few commands in the code. It’s fairly straightforward…
You can also see how to how to display variables visually at runtime, move things directionally with actionscript , and also zoom in and out, both with acceleration and deceleration for a more natural motion feel.
Also demonstrates how to fade in and out of active sections and menu items smoothly, and you get 2 nice vector maps to keep on top of that,
Finally, you get a few sound fx I made, a basis for a volume slider, and you get to see and learn how to control multiple sound fade-ins and fade-outs, depending on where you interact.
This is a single drag n drop movie clip. All the actionscript is in a single frame, and the script is heavily commented with detailed and clear explanations about how all the lines of code work together, what they do, why they do it, and what can be done with them.
It’s a good launching pad to learn how to put together simple sites that look good and move well.
So hope you like it, if you have further questions, just get in touch
Cheers, - Adrien
