imho I think it should go to selected item just when clicked, or at least should return back to the selected item, when some other item was not selected. Feels like 5min work, really raw.

Would go for the FlashSpecs suggestion as well, is acting weird for my taste. But layout looks good :)

I’d be interested in purchasing but do have a question. Is it set up to allow for control of the timeline for an imported external .swf?

I’ve been having the worst time with that in AS3 it seems its not as easy as accessing its name via the array notation when imported from the xml and using the gotoAndStop etc..

so this is invalid without some additional imports events and tweaks.

function btnClicked(e:MouseEvent):void{

item[num].gotoAndPlay("frameLabel");

}

Hi, knotty. By default it asks for an url which will bring in your external swf files via a loader component. But if you perfer to put your content on different frames in the timeline, you can accomplish that with ease as well. Some basic instructions are included to help you with that. But if contacted me I’ll be happy to do this for you.

Hey Thanks CY.

My question is more about controlling the timeline of a dynamically imported .swf. I’ve been spinning my wheels on an effort to do that on another project and thought if I found something here I might just ditch my file and pick one up here.

If you’re feeling generous though I’ve got a thread going up on flashkit with a sample source you might take a look at and see if it makes sense, if so some feedback on it would be great.

Cheers.
