hi again lydian, sorry having to bug you, but i really do need you help. i have been checking my mails every single hour for your reply. I do understand that you are busy with other flash projects of yours. But i need a solution here, i cannot put this purchased product into action at all. [I have read all of the instruction and discussions]

the error i obtain from trying to put the scroll into my flash website :

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at net.flashden.lydian.text::ScrollBar/init() at scrolling_text_fla::SampleScrollingText_2/frame1()[scrolling_text_fla.SampleScrollingText_2::frame1:4]

If you have a moment, do you know if there is any way to preserve the hyperlink in my xml in the scrollbar text box? My Dynamic text box is set to html and the hyperlink works there, but I have not been able to change your code and get it to preserve my hyperlink in the scrollbar box.

My client is bothering me about this and I need to have an answer for him soon.

Would love for this to work.

i am trying to create a hyper link through the xml i have followed your instructions above in removing the line of code in the scrollbar as file

however i have had no luck

i am using :

<![CDATA[ copy….Click to go to…...copy… ]]>

my text field is html enabled and my font is embedded

Hello again Lydian, I have another issue about the “XML Driven Scrolling Text and Scrollbar”

Last time you have sent me a updated version of the flash, so that i can use it dynamically with my flash site template

it works great, thank you, but there is one issue that bugs me. I found that when i scroll the text, it is NOT SMOOTH at all, very LAGGY on the other hand. (the original version was very smooth)

*How can i fix this smooth scrolling issue ?? *or if i cannot fix the issue, how can I simply TURN OFF the smooth scrolling ??

I am a 10 license purchaser… I’m afraid I am having the same issues as a few others in that I am unable to load text into the textfield when loading an external swf. Again, the swf works fine by itself in the same directory as the parent.

I have tried changing the relative path in Scrollbar.as as well. I also tried your other solutions in previous posts and no luck.

I know it’s such a simple fix but my eyes are crossed with this one.

I have a problem with loading this into an existing FLA …a new file works perfectly using the same path settings in my .AS files. Could you please respond with a solution? Is there an issue with using this in nested movie clips?

I would like to buy this file but first I need to make sure I will be able to do the following:

1. place it in my own Fla as a movieclip 2. some of the text need to be a link 3. embed more than one font: bold for title, regular for text

I just bought this file and need to know how to make a hyperlink out of part of the text.

I’ve the same problem of few others… loading the swf with your scroller (that works perfect on his own) in my main swf i see only the scrolling bar fixed

I saw your answered:

“You can find the file paths at the top of the ScrollBar.as file. Change them relative to the location of your main swf file.”

but I’m still looking where is this the problem…. My main swf is located in the same directory of my secondary swf.

I need to be able to re-use the scrolling text view on multiple frames (flash pages).

It works for one but I can’t re-use because it just repeats the same content across screens.

Hello! Just got this item and I’m immediately getting this error message when I try to use it:
