XML Gallery / Full Screen / Slide Show

Hey, great work here. I would like to make it so the slideshow buttons (play and pause) don’t show up at all… in other words, the user clicks through the images manually. I’ve looked through the actionscript, but I’m not sure how to do this.

Also, I’d like to change the word on the bottom tab from “thumbnails” to “contents”.

Any suggestions?

Hello! I really like your slideshow, but I have a few questions. 1. Is there a way to have the thumbnail photos appear automatically instead of having to hover over them? 2. Hi, thanks for the great gallery. It is great and I am very happy with it. Although I’m wondering if it is possible to loop it? Meaning, once it reaches the last photo can it go automatically back to the first photo? Thanks!

Is it fairly easy to customize the bottom ‘thumbnails’ part?

I have Flash, but I’m not sure if you have a movie clip on stage that would make it easy for me to change the look and feel of it.

Also, the arrows, movie clip, no movie clip so I can customize the look?

Hi there,

How does the flash component know which images are to be displayed? Does it look at a folder in the file system or do you give it an xml file with the path to all the images?

Keen to purchase but I need to find out how to implement first.

you should written on that the only file the gallery can read is example.xml…. i do need the gallery for a dinamic site wher i can not assume the file is always example.xml of course…

I am using XML Gallery / Background Loading / Full Screen / Slide Show / Thumbnails. I would like to place your index.html in the root of my site, but reference all other files in http://www.dougweldon.com/AS3xml/

I have tried changing the paths in index2.html (you can see this if you view the page source), but have not had any success.

I am using XML Gallery / Background Loading / Full Screen / Slide Show / Thumbnails. I bought one of your programs last year so I come to this confident it will be great. However, it says there is great documentation, and I am only finding a very tiny text file. Is there any more documentation beyond this?I think I can get by with this, but more information would make things easier. Thanks,

Love the program. You’re right, documentation is simple. Is there anyway, without special programming, to make the THUMBNAIL window just stay opened up from the beginning without having to click on THUMBNAILS ?

I recently bought this slideshow. Looks great but do I have to make a thumbnail for each image? Also, is there an easier way to use the slideshow so that it holds 300 images?

Hi there, I was wondering if the gallery supports swf files as well as images? I’m thinking of purchasing to use as a presentation however for some of the slides the client want to be able to click for more information sometimes or just skip onto the next slide sometimes so it’s no entirely linear – is it possible if I build a swf with this functionality in it (to reveal more info) and load it in as a slide? I’d also like in some swf’s to have a link to skip ahead to a certain image/swf/slide? Thanks

Thanks for your swift reply. I have purchased the file and created a SWF file named ‘04.swf’ and amended the xml to call up the 04.swf as opposed to 04.jpg, just as a test (SWF file is just a jpeg opened in flash and exported as a SWF ), however on that particular page it doesn’t show up anything – just a black screen. Did you mean that SWF are only supported with custom coding by yourself? Or if not (I took it to mean that SWF are currently supported) could you please tell me if there are any lines of code I need to amend to successfully include SWF ? thanks so much.

Is is possible to use this gallery on the page inside, for example, the desired div. I want to have a page with html footer with 100% width and fixed height, and above it – div that fills the rest of the screen. Is it too hard to set up?
