XML menu 5

This is one level menu.

that’s not answering the question, how do I add other actions and variables to this file? such as changing the menu xml, loading an xml elsewhere in my main movie….etc. just like you can with the example link i posted. Im not looking for submenus off the submenus. And what about loading buttons to the left instead of the right?

The file comes as it is. What you mean isn’t doable.

ok, no prob, I don’t mean to pester. I figured it out actually and it is possible to have different attributes other than just getURL and have them easily do other things in the file. Using part of the kirupa code for that it does work. Anyways, I still think it would be nice if you could tell us how to load from right to left instead of the current left to right. thanks.

What you would need to do is change the duplicateMovieclip function, and position the items starting with the rightest one. And after you manage to do it, I am not sure there will be other things that need to be fixed or not – I just did not try it on my own.

I need for the menu to close when the cursor is over the body text. Now the menu only closes when you mouse over the menu itself.

Additional comment to the above: The menu works correctly in Firefox 3 so the problem/behavior seems to be directly related to IE7

I am on a MAC and cannot test it on IE, but make sure you didn’t set the transparency to true, as I heard sometimes this causes problems to Flash.

I think it needs some onMouseOut code to close the drop down menu when mouse moves away from the downdown menu. wmode=”transparency” is set “on” to overlay over content in the back using zindex code. See example at http://www.circlesofrhythm.com/videos.htm

i just bought the xml menu 5 and i do have difficulties to integrate the menu into css or dreamweaver.

Does anyone have a clear instruction which file and scripts needed to be integrated.
