The easiest way is to load the preview.swf file with the loader class:
http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/flash/9.0/ActionScriptLangRefV3/flash/display/Loader.html
Take a look at the example at the end.
That way you dont need to put anything inside the library.
Btw, one thing you havent mentioned, and that is the actionscript version of your template, because if its AS2 you wont be able to pull this, AS3 files will not work within AS2 .

Hello, I purchased this and incorporated it into my website, it’s working on Firefox but it doesn’t seem to be working on Internet Explorer. Any Ideas why this is happening?

Do you have flash player for activeX (IE)? Does demo on envato work for you in IE?
I just checked the original is working in IE – not sure where I’ve gone wrong
