XML MP3 Player

I need to be walked through how to disable the audioplayer completely in the XML site template, including taking it out of the flash so it doesn’t even appear in the site.

I read through the comment above stating:

“For those of you wanting to disable autoplay, you can simply comment out loadTrack(); inside the buildPlayer function for content_mc. Unless you have altered the code, this will be line 214.”

...Huhhh??? I don’t understand. It’s easy to remove the playlist folder, but I want it out of the site completely including the player and I can’t find that here.

Do I edit the index.fla for this? Then you need to walk me through it including creating a new index.swf file, because I do not know Flash.

The previous suggests for preventing Autoplay weren’t working for me, but I’ve since worked out how to do it.

1. Open the .fla file

2. Go into the content_mc layer

3. Click on the first keyframe in the Actions layer (it has a small a inside it)

4. Open the Actions panel to view the actionscipt code (Windows > Actions or F9)

5. Go to line 214 where you should find the code “loadTrack();”. That line of code might not be on line 214 if you’ve modified the code or are looking at a different version than mine, but look for the code similar to: “ID = 0; loadTrack(); menu_mc.bttn_mc._visible = false;”

6. Underneath “loadTrack();” paste in “doPause();”

And you’re done.

When the video loads now, it will simply pause before playing the first clip, requring the viewer to click Play.

Simple yet elegant player ! I would like to know few things before I buy it… Let’s say my website has 100 pages …is it possible to use this player in every page? (with unique playlist for each page)?

Just wondering … for the xml, does it have to be an actual physical xml file or can it be a link to a page that spits out valid xml? Our list changes daily from a database and it would be a hassle to have to make the change manually in the player everyday …
