Hi, I love this, but need to have a header for a logo and navigation, and a footer for additional information. Can this be placed in a div instead of just full screen?
Thank you,
Gina
Very nice… a few suggestions to polish it up:
1. add the option for a variable for the location of the inital XML file via flashvars
2. add options for colors for buttons, bottom area, etc
3. add options for slideshow and fullscreen to be totally removed
4. if there is no “title” for an image it should not say “undefined” it should just hide the tooltip
Can you make the images fit to the outer edges on the left and right of the monitor? Please see the way we want to do this by checking out the following website www.scottfrances.com. The images on the scott frances site fill the screen on the left and the right. We do not want the image to take up the entire browser window on all 4 sides either. Secondly, how can we get it so that the bottom bar does’t show until you click a thumbnails link? We do not want to show the thumbnails or the rest of that bar until the user clicks thumbnails. In your sample you have the left and right arrows. We would like that arrow to still appear and right now it is outside the image. Since we want to fill the image all the way to the left and right of the browser window it is ok if the arrows are on top of the image. Although we would love it if the arrows would only appear if you put your mouse over the image. Just like you see in the scrott frances site. Can you let me know is this is something you can do? We also do not need any text info showing up about the photo. I noticed it is on the top of the screen. We just want to have images only. I am sure that if I saw the xml that I probably just need to remove the text info from the xml file. What about a full screen button? It is on the bottom bar but since that will not appear until someone clicks a thumbnail link we would need that full screen function in our top navigation of our site. What do we need to do to incorporate a full screen button? We do not need the button to be embedded in your flash either it can be placed anywhere in our html. We want the full screen mode to still show our top navigation and also show your flash component/gallery. Are you using an image preloaded? We will have about 30 to 35 images and we need to make sure they load quickly. Please see how fast the images load on the scottfrances.com site.
Great Gallery! I have everything the way I want it, except one thing. When the gallery first appears it automatically starts in slideshow mode. But when I switch to another category of images in the gallery the slideshow stops. I am hoping to have the slideshow play for each of the categories when that category is selected. Thank You for your help, Ryan
This is a neat looking gallery system, well done! I have some questions though. How can I change the width of the border around the large photo and the thumbnails? How can I make the thumbnail bar autohide just like the categories menu? How can I make the categories menu and the thumbnail show on mouse over instead of having to click on them? How can I resize the thumbnail bar? And last but least, where can I download the fonts that you used in this project? I don’t seem to have them on my Windows system. I am not afraid of having to edit the .fla.
Since I didn’t get any response from you, I tried editing the .fla myself and it worked out great. I found both fonts on the Internet and was able to implement most of what was on my wishlist (see previous comment). I also changed the width of the album buttons so I can use longer album names and I build in onDragOut functions for the various buttons.
Hi Alex, I have a question. When I press the next button, the current image disapears and the preloader bar becomes visible. That bar starts at 100%, then jumps back to 0% and then it starts moving to 100% again as the next image loads. How can I make it start at 0%?
Is it works being called from another .swf? I made a website and i need to put a gallery inside…
