Do you provide support?
Yes – if there is a bug I will fix it. A bug is defined as when a file doesn’t do something its description says it will do. If what you want done is not in the description, it is a customization. For quick, easy customizations I do my best to help by pointing you in the right direction. If you need more assistance, I am usually happy to make customizations as a freelance job. Please see the faq about freelance for more information.

Do you do freelance work?
Yes. I typically charge on a project rather than hourly basis. Just email me a detailed description of what you want done and I will respond with a price as soon as possible. Please understand that my files are so cheap because I sell hundreds of them. Freelance work only pays me once so be aware that it will cost more. My pricing is reasonable, but if you don’t want to pay what I charge you are welcome to find any other freelancer. My files are built to be easily understood by anyone with a solid grasp of actionscript so another freelancer should be able to modify them.

It will only take you five minutes. Why can’t you just do it?
I would love to help everyone with all of their problems and small customizations. Please understand that I have sold around 3000 files. I get several tiny requests everyday. If I did them all I would have no time to do anything else. Also, I promise, it never takes just five minutes.

Why haven’t you responded to my emails/comments!?
As you can see when you look at the comments under my files, I always respond. I do my best to respond as quickly as possible, but I may not get to your inquiry for a few days. Please only post once unless you have a new question. I respond to email more often than I do comments.

My file works when I test it, but breaks when I put it in my site. What’s wrong?
1. Make sure you are using the latest version of the flash player.
2. If your file calls external files (like xml or images) it is probably just a path issue. Make sure you didn’t break the path structure by moving files around. Also keep in mind that if your .swf file is in a folder, the path starts from the .html file you put it in, not from the .swf file.
3. If there is a php or xml file, make sure your server has the appropriate permissions to run these files.

My file isn’t working when I test it on my computer. What’s wrong?
If your file uses php then it will only work online or if you have a local server set up.

How do I get special characters like êí to work?
In the flash file find the text box you want to have these characters. You will probably find it on the stage or in the library. Select the text box. In the properties panel click embed. Paste the characters you want to use in the “include these characters” area.

How do I get bold and italics to work?
Create a dynamic text field somewhere on your stage. Select it and in the properties panel click bold or italics. Click the embed button. In the list ctrl click everything you want to embed (uppercase, lowercase, numberals).
